Herald of Maranatha:
Fresh From God
Topic: Trust in God (Day 114)
Ps 43‐45, Ps 49, Ps 84‐85, Ps 87 (Daily bible reading)
Text of focus: Psalm 44:3 KJV
For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them.
Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. [6] In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
This is important to acknowledge God as the giver of every good gift. David a valiant warrior, was victorious all through the days of his life because he acknowledged God as the one who gives the victory.
That was what began his career as a warrior he confronted Goliath by God.
1 Samuel 17:45 KJV
Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.
No wonder David never lost any battle.
We can live a life of consistent victory if we decide to acknowledge God today as the reason for every success we make. Know that you didn't become wealthy by your hard work, but by God's grace.
Deuteronomy 8:18 KJV
But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.
Those who work the hardest are in the category of the poorest, then it is the blessings of God that make the difference.
"They did not possess the land by their own sword"
"Acknowledge I did not arrive here by my power, but by your right hand and your arm oh Lord".
If I never got here by my power, then I will get to my destination by my God.
