Topic: Secret for Victory by David (Day 102)
1 Sam 15‐17 (Daily bible reading)
Text of focus: 1 Samuel 17:33-37 KJV
And Saul said to David, Thou art not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him: for thou art but a youth, and he a man of war from his youth. [34] And David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his father's sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock: [35] And I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered it out of his mouth: and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and smote him, and slew him. [36] Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God. [37] David said moreover, The Lord that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and the Lord be with thee.
Here is a little secret about how David was able to overcome Goliath at such a young age. When everyone saw a great warrior in Goliath, David saw a thing like one of the animals he once conquered.
What's your perception of your problems?
Do you see it as something that will consume you or that you can repeatedly overcome?
David trusted in God by sharing the testimony of the past victory and related it to the present situation.
When you testify, you simply magnify God above your problems. It's easy to understand that what God has done before, He could still do it again.
Every testimony is relatable to every other problem, it only depends on your understanding of God's power.
David already overcame Goliath prophetically before the fight.
Satan works on your fears, and he uses them to magnify your problems.
Think more about the goodness of God and testify to His greatness.
Revelation 19:10c KJV - worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy
Rejoice in the Lord today and worship Him and watch your problems melt and fall before you like Goliath before David.
