HOM DAILY DEVOTIONAL

Great fool (Day 107)

Herald of Maranatha:

Fresh From God
Topic: Great fool (Day 107)
1 Sam 25‐27   (Daily bible reading)

Text of focus: 1 Samuel 25:10-11 KJV

And Nabal answered David's servants, and said, Who is David? and who is the son of Jesse? there be many servants now a days that break away every man from his master. [11] Shall I then take my bread, and my water, and my flesh that I have killed for my shearers, and give it unto men, whom I know not whence they be ?

The ungrateful is a great fool. Nabal died just like that great fool. In the days of his harvest and his plenty, he disregarded those who had helped in the days of his labour and struggle.

Are you not like Nabal?
 Be intentional about your remembering and blessing those who have helped you in the past. Anyone who wants to reward his helpers with wickedness is endangering his life like life Nabal.
Nabal died suddenly, and he lost everything, including his wife, all because of a greedy attitude.
May you not die suddenly.

This evil character hinders blessing and limits life. God warned that you must not eat and be full and forget Him.

Deuteronomy 8:10-14 KJV
When thou hast eaten and art full, then thou shalt bless the Lord thy God for the good land which he hath given thee. [11] Beware that thou forget not the Lord thy God, in not keeping his commandments, and his judgments, and his statutes, which I command thee this day: [12] Lest when thou hast eaten and art full, and hast built goodly houses, and dwelt therein ; [13] And when thy herds and thy flocks multiply, and thy silver and thy gold is multiplied, and all that thou hast is multiplied; [14] Then thine heart be lifted up, and thou forget the Lord thy God, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage;
Deuteronomy 8:18 KJV
But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.

Today, take out time to thank God. Remember those who have helped you in the past and bless them now.

NBPlease if you miss any daily publication, refer to the bottom of the previous one to see the bible chapters of the day.
