Deuteronomy 28‐29 (Daily bible reading)
Text of focus: Deuteronomy 30:19 KJV
I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:
It's an interesting thing to know that you possess the right to make choices. That simply means nothing is or can be imposed on you. When God created man, He gave man a choice to willingly choose or reject Him by disobedience. Unfortunately, man disobeyed God to his own doom, but the grace of God rescued him.
Everyone is the architect of his own fortunes and misfortunes, God permits only what you allow by your choices. Esau, a man hated of God by the reason of his strange choices and despisal of God's eternal purpose, was still given a choice to break out of the consequences of his wrong choices, whenever he is dissatisfied and becomes restless about his situation.
Genesis 27:40 NIrV
You will live by using the sword. And you will serve your brother. But you will grow restless. Then you will throw off the heavy load he has caused you to carry."
The good side of your decision-making opportunity is that you can also decide what to allow or disallow in your life. Knowing this, what would you do?
Make good use of this opportunity to begin to correct every wrong choice you have made in the past.
