Herald of Maranatha:
Fresh From God
Topic: The making of greatness (Day 79)
Deuteronomy 28‐29 (Daily bible reading)
Text of focus: Deuteronomy 28:12-13 KJV
The Lord shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow. [13] And the Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the Lord thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them :
Everyone desires to be great, so we put in efforts in every way possible according to our understanding, towards greatness.
Something hard to believe for many today is that the making of greatness has been stated clearly in the scripture, it is not just the kind of hard work and the principles you've always learned, but it is in total obedience to God.
No matter how a man struggles, he can't get what God has not provided.
Deuteronomy 28:1-2 KJV
And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: [2] And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God.
Think about it, God created all things, so He alone can guide you into greatness within the sphere of His creation.
Dare to obey God in everything and you are on your path to greatness.
Summary
In the chapters read today (Deut 28‐29), Moses was giving God's instructions to the children of Israel.
