Text of focus: Deuteronomy 1:21 KJV
Behold, the Lord thy God hath set the land before thee: go up and possess it, as the Lord God of thy fathers hath said unto thee; fear not, neither be discouraged.
God as the Almighty, the creator of heaven and earth, He is always faithful to His promises. Whenever He speaks it is done, this might get you wondering, why have you not received the delivery of some of God's promises to you?
God promised to take Israel into the land flowing with milk and honey, but He told them, from the focus text today, to go up and possess it.
When God gives a promise, it gives you a spiritual, legal right to go for it. That means it doesn't just happen by default, you enforce it in prayers and right actions.
Many people hear the promises of God and in excitement, they went to rest and they did nothing about it, hence they get delayed or have no fulfillment.
The promises of God are to guide your prayers and pursuits, you need to arise and possess what God has given you now.
God is faithful to His word, if He has said it, then He would do it. Arise, pursue, and receive the delivery of God's promises today, the time is now.
Summary
In the chapters read today (Num 34 - 36), we learned about the preview of all that had happened to Israel and how God brought them to the side of Jordan by the red sea, and how the Lord vowed unto the unbelieving generation not to enter into the promised land. After they had compassed the mountain for too long, the Lord instructed them to go northward. God told them the lands He has not given them to possess and He told them to go up to possess the lands He has given them. This is an indicator of our part in possessing our possessions by the word of God.
Question
What about lost opportunities can they be regained?
● Oh Lord, I commit my ways unto you, prosper it in Jesus' name.
● Oh Lord let your kingdom come and your will be done on earth in Jesus' name.
