Text of focus: Deuteronomy 21:23 KJV
His body shall not remain all night upon the tree, but thou shalt in any wise bury him that day; (for he that is hanged is accursed of God;) that thy land be not defiled, which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance.
from today's text we could understand clearly that he that is hanged on the tree is accursed of God and if not properly handled could bring defilement upon the land. So this makes us understand the symbolism of the nature of the death of Jesus Christ. Jesus paid everything, He cleared all our debts, and Jesus had to die on the cross so that we all can be free from all kinds of curses. The requirement for sins to be totally forgiven was the death of Jesus Christ but for us to be free from curses the requirement was the death on the tree, so Jesus had to die on the cross.
Galatians 3:13-14 KJV
Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: [14] That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
This has brought us liberation from all forms of curses, we are free and free indeed. instead of curses we have been given access to Abrahamic blessings.
It is important to know all that Jesus has done for us, so don’t suffer in ignorance. Jesus gave us a full package don’t settle for half of it. Do you have fears related to curses, be they generational or direct, understand what Jesus has done for you, then rise up and break it in prayers.
