Text of focus: Deuteronomy 15:7-8 KJV
If there be among you a poor man of one of thy brethren within any of thy gates in thy land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not harden thine heart, nor shut thine hand from thy poor brother: [8] But thou shalt open thine hand wide unto him, and shalt surely lend him sufficient for his need, in that which he wanteth.
From the focus text, we see God instructing Israel not to withhold help from any poor or needy among them. The purpose of the word of God is to make us better daily, so it's important to understand the importance and implications of every instruction.
You've often helped people and you feel cool like you're doing something unusual, you need to understand today, that helping people is rather mandatory and not completely optional.
Though it's your choice to determine if to help or not, such as it's your choice to determine how long you want to possess that wealth you have at the moment.
Nothing you have is truly yours, if you're tired of dispensing the resources, God might just take it from you and give it to those who are ready to distribute.
God takes responsibility for all creatures, feeds and meets our needs, and does this through people He has blessed to dispense to the needy.
Always remember that you're not rich because you're smart, but because God permitted it, you should be another man's answered prayers and a reason someone will glorify God.
You don't help because you have too much in your possession, but because you know what it means to be in need.
Summary
In the chapters read today (Deu 14 - 16), Moses was giving God's instructions to the children of Israel.
