Text of focus: Numbers 14:24 KJV

But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and hath followed me fully, him will I bring into the land whereinto he went; and his seed shall possess it.

Being a man of a different spirit is a vital lesson from the focus text today.

Caleb was able to get an inheritance for his seed by making up his mind to be different by having faith in God. This clearly indicates that you have a vital role to play in deciding your future.

Others died in the wilderness because of unbelief but Caleb and his seeds were preserved by the choice he made. God was wrath with the other spies because they never glorified God. Whenever you exalt your problem above measure, you are actually reducing God and making Him too small.

Job 32:8 KJV

But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.

Allow God's greatness to inspire your spirit man, with faith that what He has done before, He can do much more.

Make a choice to preserve your posterity today, by believing in God and His power to see you through your present situation.

Summary 

In the chapters read today (Num 14-15, Psalm 90), we learned about how the discouraging report of the ten other spies, only Joshua and Caleb were different in their view of God and the people of the land. They polluted the heart of the children of Israel with this negative report, so they were filled with unbelief. So God was wrath with them and proposed to destroy them but Moses interceeded, and the generation who murmured in unbelief fell in the wilderness. Psalm 90 recorded Moses' prayers.
