Herald of Maranatha:
Text of focus: Numbers 9:22-23 KJV
Or whether it were two days, or a month, or a year, that the cloud tarried upon the tabernacle, remaining thereon, the children of Israel abode in their tents, and journeyed not: but when it was taken up, they journeyed. [23] At the commandment of the Lord they rested in the tents, and at the commandment of the Lord they journeyed: they kept the charge of the Lord, at the commandment of the Lord by the hand of Moses.
The text of focus today brings a question to mind, and the question is, for how long can you wait on God while walking with Him?
God led the children of Israel through the wilderness, standing as a shield for them by day and protection by night. Each time the Lord stopped they also stopped, what a smooth journey it is to walk with the Lord.
If they had not sinned against God on their journey, they would have gotten to the promised land quicker and safely.
Though the journey took them a long time they got to their destination.
If you try to run faster than God in your journey, you run into trouble, if you lag behind you are at risk of danger, it's only safe to walk accurately with God.
Dare to listen to God always to know what is next in life.
Summary
In the chapters read today (Num 8-10), we learned about how the Lord walked with the children of Israel through the wilderness, controlling their movement per time. We also learned about observing the passover, and trumpets and alarm for signs for the children of Israel.
Question
How do I walk accurately with God?
● Oh Lord, I commit my ways unto you, prosper it in Jesus' name.
● Oh Lord let your kingdom come and your will be done on earth in Jesus' name.
