Exod 28 to 29 (Daily bible reading)
Text of focus: Exodus 29:21 KJV
And thou shalt take of the blood that is upon the altar, and of the anointing oil, and sprinkle it upon Aaron, and upon his garments, and upon his sons, and upon the garments of his sons with him: and he shall be hallowed, and his garments, and his sons, and his sons' garments with him.
From these well-articulated instructions God gave unto Moses, you can see how He emphasized holiness, especially of the priest.
Holiness is a straight command from God, He is holy and wants us all to be likewise holy. As a growing child ministers of God, and priests were highly revered, but unfortunately a lot of strange people have infiltrated the body making it to be ridiculed. As a Christian, you are meant to be holy in every respect, within and without.
A lot of people will say God is more interested in your heart but not your appearance, they excused that to dress indecently. That's a lie from the pit of hell, God is interested in everything.
Any dress that exposes your nakedness is ungodly. God warned the priest to appear decently and that his nakedness should not be discovered. Exodus 20:26 KJV
Psalm 24:3-4 KJV
Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord ? or who shall stand in his holy place? [4] He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.
Our garment is what everyone around us will see because they can't see our hearts. The heart is what only God sees, but our appearance is a reflection of our heart.
God is interested in the whole of you, not just your heart.
Summary
In the chapters read today (Exodus 28 to 29 ), we learned about how God gave a lot of specific instructions on the sanctification and holiness of the priest. God also described how burnt offerings should be made. God is concerned about every little detail of our lives. God is interested in the whole of you, not just your heart.
