Herald of Maranatha:
Exod 36 to 38 (Daily bible reading)
Text of focus: Exodus 36:4-7 KJV
And all the wise men, that wrought all the work of the sanctuary, came every man from his work which they made; [5] And they spake unto Moses, saying, The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work, which the Lord commanded to make. [6] And Moses gave commandment, and they caused it to be proclaimed throughout the camp, saying, Let neither man nor woman make any more work for the offering of the sanctuary. So the people were restrained from bringing. [7] For the stuff they had was sufficient for all the work to make it, and too much.
From today's text of focus, we can see the willingness of people to give toward the God-given vision.
They had more than enough required for the project, and they had to announce that no one should bring more supplies. I need you to remember that all these happened in the wilderness, which means they didn't have access to so much, but they gave so much. This means we should also avoid excuses when giving to God.
Whenever God gives His word the wise-hearted is always on the run to do it.
Psalm 68:11 KJV
The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it.
The company of those who carry out the word of God is great, and the company of great people publishes the word of God. We should be willing to spend and be spent for the things of God, the purpose of our existence in all is to please the Lord, and we must do this with the whole of our being.
Is there any God-given project around you today that you can take part in, do it now? We shouldn't only think of what and how we can always receive from God, but also seize every opportunity to give to God and toward God-given projects.
God bless you as you do so.
Summary
In the chapters read today (Exodus 36 to 38 ), we learned about how God laid in the heart of people to be committed to the project. The wise-hearted and the great company of people supplied both skills and resources necessary for the project and the provision was surplus, even in the wilderness.
