Herald of Maranatha:
Text of focus: Leviticus 15:19-20,25 KJV
And if a woman have an issue, and her issue in her flesh be blood, she shall be put apart seven days: and whosoever toucheth her shall be unclean until the even. [20] And every thing that she lieth upon in her separation shall be unclean: every thing also that she sitteth upon shall be unclean. [25] And if a woman have an issue of her blood many days out of the time of her separation, or if it run beyond the time of her separation; all the days of the issue of her uncleanness shall be as the days of her separation: she shall be unclean.
The focus text for today addresses the issue of blood, which reminds me of that woman who touched Jesus.
The issue of blood makes one unclean according to the focus text, she remains unclean till seven days after the issue of blood stops.
She had suffered a lot from many physicians, touching Jesus could have made Jesus unclean,
but she knew Jesus was holy and touching Him could rather cleanse her.
Matthew 9:21 KJV
For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole.
Little wonder, Jesus felt virtues departing from Him, which was responsible for her cleansing. Instead of Jesus being defiled virtues came from Him to cleanse the unclean.
Mark 5:30 KJV
And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?
What is that issue with you?
You can be cleansed today, Jesus cleanses all issues.
If you turn to Jesus today you can be totally free.
No matter how dirty you are, reaching forth to Jesus can cleanse you completely.
Summary
In the chapters read today (Lev 8 to 10), we learned about how God taught the children of Israel how to be clean and purify themselves. He spoke about leprosy, and body issues from both men and women, all these were given as a reflection of how we should walk before God in holiness.
Question
