Herald of Maranatha:
Lev 1 to 4 (Daily bible reading)
Text of focus: Leviticus 2:13 KJV
And every oblation of thy meat offering shalt thou season with salt; neither shalt thou suffer the salt of the covenant of thy God to be lacking from thy meat offering: with all thine offerings thou shalt offer salt.
The focus text emphasized that the sacrifices of God must come with the salt of the covenant. In our present day, the sacrifices could be likened to our services before God.
Some people render services to God with full dedication but their character towards their neighbour is appalling, this is not an acceptable sacrifice.
Romans 12:1 KJV
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
Your body is first the sacrifice before your services.
Colossians 4:6 KJV
Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.
You need to endeavor to add the salt of the covenant to the sacrifices of God by adding good and holy character to your services.
Summary
In the chapters read today (Lev 1 to 4), we learned about how God spoke to Moses from the cloud of glory, in the tabernacle of the congregation, God gave clear instructions concerning the sacrifices to be offered. God described how the process should be, the anointed priest must also offer sacrifice for himself, if he had sinned, and God forbade them from eating the fat and blood of the sacrifices.
