Herald of Maranatha:
Text of focus: Leviticus 25:21-22 KJV
Then I will command my blessing upon you in the sixth year, and it shall bring forth fruit for three years. [22] And ye shall sow the eighth year, and eat yet of old fruit until the ninth year; until her fruits come in ye shall eat of the old store.
From today's text of focus, you can understand that blessings don't come by many struggles, but by God's grace.
God had told them not to sow in the seventh year, then He promised them three years of harvest at once in the sixth year. This is clear evidence to anyone who will believe that true prosperity comes from obeying God, not by working overtime. This also indicates that God is mindful of you and He cares about you, He made provision for you living when He asked you to rest, He had worked for you.
Deuteronomy 8:18 KJV
But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.
God alone can give you the power to get wealth. Obey God in all you do and He will bless you.
Summary
In the chapters read today (Lev 24 to 25), we learned about how God instructed concerning blasphemy, showing how much we have to hallow His holy name. God gave instructions concerning the sabbath, and jubilee a time of freedom and restoration. God ordered rest for all including the land used for farming, this also makes provision for the poor. Only God can bless and reward our labour.
