Herald of Maranatha:
Text of focus: Numbers 7:87-89 KJV
All the oxen for the burnt offering were twelve bullocks, the rams twelve, the lambs of the first year twelve, with their meat offering: and the kids of the goats for sin offering twelve. [88] And all the oxen for the sacrifice of the peace offerings were twenty and four bullocks, the rams sixty, the he goats sixty, the lambs of the first year sixty. This was the dedication of the altar, after that it was anointed. [89] And when Moses was gone into the tabernacle of the congregation to speak with him, then he heard the voice of one speaking unto him from off the mercy seat that was upon the ark of testimony, from between the two cherubims: and he spake unto him.
Looking at today's text of focus, after the entire tribes of Israel brought their offerings, the Lord gave a confirmation.
That brings the case of Solomon to mind after he made a great sacrifice to God, and God appeared to him.
You can also offer your sacrifices to God today, and get His unusual attention.
How many bullocks will I have to buy?
Hebrews 13:15 KJV
By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.
Your sacrifice of praise could go a long way in getting God's attention. Praise God without making any requests, praise Him with a new song, and let a new aroma ascend unto God. Humble yourself before God, and thank Him as many times as possible with a focused and fixed heart on His glory. God will descend and surprise you.
Summary
In the chapters read today (Num 7), we learned about how the whole tribes of Israel brought sacrifices to God after the completion of the tabernacle.
Question
How many praises can I give unto God?
