Exod 13 to 15 (Daily bible reading)
Text of focus: Exodus 13:17-18 KJV
And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God led them not through the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, Lest peradventure the people repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt: [18] But God led the people about, through the way of the wilderness of the Red sea: and the children of Israel went up harnessed out of the land of Egypt.
From today's text of focus, we see God's intention in taking Israel through the farther route.
Many times you find it difficult to understand the process God is taking you through in life, you just have to trust God and move on with him.
God mostly will not take you through the short route to your destination, because every step He makes you pass through is relevant to your destiny.
If Israel had gone through the way of the Philistines, they would have gotten to the promised land within fourteen days, but they wouldn't have seen the parting of the Red sea, or Jordan rolled, they wouldn't have tasted the mana, and many more miracles God showed them. All these miracles became the guidelines for them and their children to know the greatness of God.
Do not reject God's process, and don't try to help fast-track it.
It's certain that people don't want to understand the "process" all they want to see is the result, don’t live your life to satisfy people, follow God's will.
Summary
In the chapters read today (Exodus 13 to 15 ), we learned about how God sanctified the people and took them out of the land of Egypt, going with them as a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night. God took them through a farther route by His divine purpose. God parted the Red Sea for Israel, and Pharaoh and his host died in the sea. Moses and the children of Israel sang a new song to God.
Question
How do I differentiate delays from God's process?
