Exod 30 to 32 (Daily bible reading)
Text of focus: Exodus 32:10-11,13-14 KJV
Now therefore let me alone, that my wrath may wax hot against them, and that I may consume them: and I will make of thee a great nation. [11] And Moses besought the Lord his God, and said, Lord, why doth thy wrath wax hot against thy people, which thou hast brought forth out of the land of Egypt with great power, and with a mighty hand? [13] Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, thy servants, to whom thou swarest by thine own self, and saidst unto them, I will multiply your seed as the stars of heaven, and all this land that I have spoken of will I give unto your seed, and they shall inherit it for ever. [14] And the Lord repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people.
Something very important from the text of focus today is the power of effective intercession.
The people of Israel have just sinned against God and Moses took it upon himself to intercede for them before God. Moses was a very selfless intercessor, God offered to make a nation of him, yet he begged for the people. He went as far as asking God to blot out his name from His book.
When God's wrath was hot against Israel, there was one action of Moses, that made God repent. Moses reminded God of His words and promises to Abraham, and immediately God repented of what He intended for Israel.
It's important for us to learn that nothing moves God's heart like His words being brought to Him.
Psalm 138:2 KJV
I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
God indeed has magnified His words above His names.
Engage the word of God in prevailing prayers today and see uncommon results.
Summary
In the chapters read today (Exodus 30 to 32 ), we learned about how God gave a lot of specific instructions on the sanctification and holiness of the priest. God also described how burnt offerings should be made. God spoke about resting on the Sabbath. God anointed people with gifts to execute the vision He gave Moses. Moses tarried and Israel went into idolatry, God was wrath with them, but Moses interceded. God is concerned about every little detail of our lives. God is interested in the whole of you, not just your heart.
Question
What are examples of the scriptures I can engage in prayer?

● Oh Lord, I commit my ways unto you, prosper it in Jesus' name.
● Oh Lord let your kingdom come and your will be done on earth in Jesus' name.
