Gen 19 to 21 (Daily bible reading)
Text of focus: Genesis 20:17-18 KJV
So Abraham prayed unto God: and God healed Abimelech, and his wife, and his maidservants; and they bare children. [18] For the Lord had fast closed up all the wombs of the house of Abimelech, because of Sarah Abraham's wife.
Of all the lessons in the chapters read today, I saw a silent message from our text of focus.
Abraham has been waiting on God for the promise, for so many years, and during the cause of his waiting, he prayed for Abimelech and God gave him children.
Does this sound like you?
While waiting on God for a miracle, you prayed for others and they received their's but yours is still not surfaced yet.
Do not be frustrated or bitter while you wait, love God and care for others.
Don't quit praying and blessing others because you haven't received your own blessing. That action is part of the requirements to quicken your blessing. God visited Abraham just after that incident and gave him his own son.
God is never late.
While waiting, keep minding God's business and let God mind your business, let Him do the worry and see your miracle walk unto you. Zachariah the priest, waited so long for a child, but he kept serving God it was during his service the Angel of God brought the good tidings of his answered prayers in his old age.
Summary
In the chapters read today (Gen 19 to 21), we learned that the uncircumcised Abram bore Ishmael, but the circumcised Abraham bore Isaac. God's covenant was to be established with Isaac. Lot was rescued from destruction and his two daughters had children by him. The wrong decision he made to pitch his tent by Sodom haunted him and he lost his wife and some of his possessions. May we not pitch our tents with the ungodly.
Question
What must I do while I wait for God's promise?

● Oh Lord, I commit my ways unto you, prosper it in Jesus' name.
● Oh Lord let your kingdom come and your will be done on earth in Jesus' name.
