Exod 1 to 3 (Daily bible reading)
Text of focus: Exodus 3:4 KJV
And when the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.
God needed Moses' attention, so He set up a scene of the burning Bush, but until Moses turned aside to see it, God never spoke to him.
God constantly wants you to turn aside to see, then He would speak to you. The Lord has made me know that knowing God should be my priority this season and the more I turn aside to seek Him I will find Him.
Our lives and businesses are too loud and not really allowing us to hear what God has to say.
We need to be more intentional about turning aside to seek the Lord.
How can I turn aside to see, and seek the Lord?
It could be done by dedicated fasting and prayer.
It could also be done by a personal retreat or anything that will help us to focus on Him alone.
Seek the Lord this season and you will find Him.
Summary
In the chapters read today (Exodus 1 to 3 ), we learned about the new king that never knew Joseph, he enslaved the children of Israel after the death of Joseph. We also read about the birth of Moses, and how Pharoh's daughter took care of Moses till he grow to know his purpose. Moses took the law into his hands by killing an Egyptian. God appeared to him later to properly commission him for his assignment.
