Topic: What kind of Physician are you? (Day 6)

Herald of Maranatha:

Fresh From God
Topic: What kind of Physician are you? (Day 6)

Job 10 ‐ 13  (Daily bible reading)

Text of focus: Job 13:4

"But ye are forgers of lies, Ye are all physicians of no value."

 Focus

These chapters we are looking at contain the discussions between Job and his friends. The friends of Job knew God, and they knew his word, but they didn't have the wisdom to apply what they knew appropriately. In Job 13:4, Job affirmed that his friends were physicians

i.e. they knew God and some of his mysteries, but he called them physicians of no value because they didn't apply the right treatment for the situation. Job was already going through a lot of attacks on every side, and at this time, what he needed was treatment, the assurance of brethren, and the help of brethren but instead of treatment he got pierced more. He had to tell them to keep their peace because they were making the situation worse. Let us be careful how we use our words when people are in dire situations because it will either lift them up or bring them down. Don't assume what God did not tell you. Let God be God so you don't make an injury even become worse.

Watch what you say, words are powerful, and a misuse of words is a misuse of power, it can destroy someone.

We should learn a huge lesson from this as we move on this year.

1. Strengthen the hands that hang down, and the feeble knees, either physically by encouraging, giving, or being present with them or by praying for them Hebrews 12:12

2. Don't assume what God is not saying simply because it looks logical. If not, you would be found a liar Job 13:4a

3. If your brother or sister is taken in any fault, restore him with meekness, not judgment. Judgment will only pierce the wound. It would not heal it. Galatians 6:1

4. In some cases, he who is going through much turmoil is actually highly favored by God. Job 1:10

5. Not all bad situations are a judgment from God.

Summary

The chapters read today (Job 10 to 13), addressed some of the comments of Job's friends that came to console him and Job's response to them. In as much as they wanted to console Job, they were clueless about the cause of his calamity, they wanted to justify God by condemning Job.

God is just, irrespective, we don't have to condemn others to justify God.

Again, there are many things we do not understand, let's rather keep quiet about them.

James 3:2 KJV

For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.

God has not called us to judge and condemn others.

Question

What do I do when God is silent?

please leave your views in the comment section.
