Topic: Reprogram your mind (Day 20)
Daily bible reading: Gen 25 - 26
Focus Text: Genesis 26:12-13 KJV
Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the Lord blessed him. [13] And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great:
To succeed or fail in a new season is in your hands.
God has given you the power of will.
Will you succeed or not?
Nothing changes except you change it.
"Reprogram your mind for success and do not accept defeat."
Look within and see opportunities in the new year.
You probably have heard this.
"Isaac might have limited how great God could make him if he wasn't thinking right, but knowing the God of his father, he never thought like a mediocre.
Reprogram your mind, Isaac was not closed-minded or dumb in thinking. Many of us don't take time to study the bible, we only take a portion for our selfish use.
Let's see how Isaac did it.
There was a global famine.
Isaac sowed and got a hundredfold in the same year.
Isaac was a smart and innovative man and by the wisdom of God, Isaac prospered during the famine.
Isaac probably did irrigation and God blessed it. The ungodly people were foolish to cover up the solution to their problems.
Genesis 26:15 KJV
For all the wells which his father's servants had digged in the days of Abraham his father, the Philistines had stopped them, and filled them with earth.
In the midst of this drought, Isaac never gave up, he kept on digging wells from Gerar to Rehoboth. Despite the strife of the philistines he persisted till he got to Rehoboth.
Genesis 26:22 KJV
And he removed from thence, and digged another well; and for that they strove not: and he called the name of it Rehoboth; and he said, For now the Lord hath made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land.
No wonder Isaac prospered during the global famine, he invented irrigation farming and while others were crying for rain he had his farm well-watered and his cattle as well.
It's easy to say Isaac reaped a hundredfold, but much more, depend on God and be innovative like Isaac. Look within, think, and act without.
In this new year, many people will act like the philistines who covered up the wells with the earth and suffered drought. Only those who will persist like Isaac will make the most of this season.
Do you have the Spirit of God in you?
Then look inward.
Those who look critically inward will get new ideas, and also take their careers, businesses, spiritual life, and family life to the next level.
This year like the others will come with its challenges, inflation, and economic meltdown, but what you do will determine what you get from it.
Job 32:8 KJV
But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.
Those who bow to circumstances run and fidget, but those who prayerfully look inward get ideas, find solutions and they will rule the fearful ones.
Where will you stand?
Only a reprogrammed mind can survive uncertainties in life, keep success in focus, unchanged, but keep your mind regularly updated on better ways of achieving that same goal.
Be rigid with your goals, but be flexible with your approach, and persist on what will give you the desired result.
