Job 32‐34 (Daily bible reading)
Text of focus: Job 32:8 KJV
But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.
The book of Job talks extensively about the nature of God. Many interesting discoveries were discussed but the text of focus today is addressing our link to God.
It's commonly said that "you are a spirit, you have a soul and you live in a body", but I could see from the scripture that it's not so.
Rather, you are a living soul, you have a spirit and a body.
Your spirit is your link with the spirit realms and your body is your link with the physical realm, your soul is linked with your mind and mental faculty. Hence, the soul receives judgment for things done in the body.
Possible destination of the three components.
The soul connects with the senses, and the soul is judged, either justified for heaven or condemn to hell.
Revelation 20:4 KJV
And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
Ezekiel 18:20a KJV
The soul that sinneth, it shall die.
The body returns to the earth, and the spirit returns to God who gave it.
Ecclesiastes 12:7 KJV
Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.
This understanding is vital for us to nourish our spirit well and make a proper link with our creator.
Engage your spirit-man in daily prayer and meditation and pay attention to the Almighty, His inspiration gives understanding.
Summary
In the chapters read today (Job 32 to 34), Job's friends couldn't force Job into accepting that he is a sinner. They were clueless about the cause of his calamity, they wanted to justify God by condemning Job. Though they confidently boasted in their wisdom and they were certain that Job had sinned, they couldn't reply to his talk. We must be careful not to sin against God by our perception of others.
Again, there are many things we do not understand, let's rather keep quiet about them.
James 3:2 KJV
For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.
God has not called us to judge and condemn others.
Job insisted on defending himself while doing that he also said a few wrong things.
Question
How do I engage my spirit to commune with God?

● Oh Lord, I commit my ways unto you, prosper it in Jesus' name.
● Oh Lord let your kingdom come and your will be done on earth in Jesus' name.
