Exod 4 to 6  (Daily bible reading)

Text of focus: Exodus 6:2-3 KJV

And God spake unto Moses, and said unto him, I am the Lord : [3] And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name Jehovah was I not known to them.

It's interesting to note the dimensions of God's revelation to Moses, as uniquely different from that of his progenitors.

God is so great and He reveals Himself, to people, in various ways. It's so amazing to note that someone like Abraham, whom we believed was one of the closest to God, knew only a dimension of God. 

This is the case with many of our great generals they have only known an aspect of God, with which they did great exploits.

These men walked on earth, demonstrating God's supernatural power, just with a dimension of the revelation of God. Knowing God is life, if you must make any meaning out of life dare to know God.

There are depths yet unknown in God and there are heights yet unreached. God is ready to take us on the journey of knowing Him, irrespective of how long ago you came into faith.

God is no respecter of persons, He is willing to reveal Himself to as many as will seek Him diligently.

Summary 

In the chapters read today (Exodus 4 to 6 ), we learned about how God appeared to Moses to properly commission him for his assignment. Moses argued with God and made Aaron join
his ministry as his spokesperson. God gave Moses access to miraculous power for wonders in Egypt and the children of Israel believed him. This made the Egyptians increase their tasks and hard labour.
