Herald of Maranatha:
Job 14 ‐ 16 (Daily bible reading)
Text of focus: Job 14:7 KJV
For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease.
The focus text of today's chapters is addressing the subject of hope.
Have you given up on that God-given dream?
Are you giving up on that vision?
It's understood that delays make the heart weary and discouraged, but the word of God to you today is that there is hope for you.
I want to remind you that God has blessed you with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places (Eph 1:3), it's by faith you can command it to materialize.
If you give up now, that means you chose to forfeit all the blessings God has already given to you.
God has already blessed you, don’t let the devil deceive you into giving up.
Let these words you're reading now push up faith in you, move now and possess those blessings God has set before you.
Push on with that idea prayerfully with faith, this next attempt will work.
Let the powerful water of the word of God cause your truncated trees of ambition to sprout again.
Hebrews 11:1-2 KJV
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. [2] For by it the elders obtained a good report.
Begin to obtain every good report now by faith, in Jesus' name.
This is not the time to give up, the new year has come with new opportunities and God's blessings, arise in faith and possess yours.
Summary
The chapters read today (Job 14 to 16), addressed some of the comments of Job's friends that came to console him and Job's response to them. They want to force Job into accepting that he was a sinner. They were clueless about the cause of his calamity, they wanted to justify God by condemning Job. They confidently boasted in their wisdom and they were certain that Job had sinned. We need to be very careful not to sin against God by our perception of others.
God is just, irrespective, we don't have to condemn others to justify God.
Again, there are many things we do not understand, let's rather keep quiet about them.
James 3:2 KJV
For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.
God has not called us to judge and condemn others.
Question
What do I do when God is silent?
