And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, [8] And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
Why was the devil able to deceive those who have experienced the peaceful reign of Christ?
Man has a depraved nature, that only Christ can transform. Since the fall of man in the garden of eden man died and lost the good nature of God and became naturally depraved.

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
The devil didn't just make man disobey God in the garden, but much more he stole all the good nature away. So the evil nature in man will make many to fall for the devil's deception even after the millennial reign of Christ.
Only the regenerated hearts by Christ will survive being deceived by the devil.
Immediately after the deception the multitude of people gathered together by the devil will face a fiery destruction from God.

After this the devil will be judged and the judgment of the living and the dead will follow.
Everyone must stand before the throne of God, to give account of the works done in the body.

All these things will happen according to the word of God, let us have our heart prepared unto the coming of our Lord Jesus.

Flee to Jesus today, tomorrow might be too late. Search your heart and deal with every matter that could hinder you now. Live each day as if it's the last. Be practically expecting the coming of Christ. Remember anything that is not preparing you to make heaven, is preparing you to miss it. Be prepared.
