Matthew 24:3 KJV
And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

Sometime around 1992, there was a propaganda about the world ending on a certain day.  We heard some people sold their possessions and slept on the street anticipating the Rapture. This can only happen when there's no proper knowledge of the word of God.
Someone also asked me if covid-19 was the end of the world, I said, "that's not scriptural".

From our text today the Disciples asked the question, "when shall these things be?"

Jesus began to answer by warning against deception:

Matthew 24:4-5 KJV
And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. [5] For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

Deception is a prime attribute of the last days, just before the Rapture. Many have misinterpreted this text to mean false Christ, this verse wasn't referring to false Christ. The text confirms a higher level of deception, where the deceiver will completely admit Jesus is Lord and with that, deceive many(note, there is no quotation mark in that statement). It is easier for us to turn away if any man comes to say "I am Christ". But if a deceiver comes and says "Jesus is the Christ" and uses that to supply deceptions, even the very elect could be deceived.
Though there will be false Christ as well as false prophets, these are false prophets. This deception will bring a great "falling away" which is Apostasy and many strange beliefs will arise and there will be deep confusion in the air.
Deception is not an hundred percent lie, but a Ninety-nine percent truth justifying one percent lie, so it takes grace to discern it. Hundred percent lie is a lie and not deception. One percent truth is deception and not lie.

2 Thessalonians 2:3 KJV
Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

We're are in the era of these deceptions and people are already falling away from the truth.
How do you identify such apostates forming like Apostles?
Jesus has the answer👇
Matthew 7:20 KJV
Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

Though might speak excellently and even perform miracles, but their lives will not conform with the word of God. You see some are Immoral, liars, boasters, etc

When you identify them what do you do?

Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

Flee from them, so you won't be deceived to leave the way of righteousness.

Titus 1:11 KJV
Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake.

Stop their mouths by spreading the truth for others to be saved.

The time of Rapture is close any moment from now, hold on to the word of God and avoid deception.
