Galatians 2:16 KJV(Discipleship)
Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
To believe is to accept that something is true, especially without proof.
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
There are big similarities between belief and faith from the definitions above.
They both have to do with the acceptance that something is true, with or without proof (belief), totally without proof (faith).
Romans 8:24 KJV
For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
Abraham's faith was described as hoping against hope. Which helps us understand that not all Hope is faith but the hope that is against hope.
Romans 4:18 KJV
Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations; according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.
For any couple to hope they will conceive is a simple belief because it's not against the norms. But for an old couple (past menopause and weak in body) to hope to conceive is against the norms, so it is faith.
To believe is not faith, but Faith is believing, specifically believing God.
Faith is believing God exists and He rewards His diligent seekers.
Hebrews 11:6 KJV
But without faith it is impossible to please him : for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Are you living by faith or by belief?
Living by belief is just being logical, living by the understanding of normal occurrences. But living by faith transcends the norms into the impossibilities.
Life application
Choose to believe in God, beyond your logical reasoning
Endeavor to always apply faith everything you do. Consciously depend more on Go . Decide to live daily by the word of God. Put God first in all your considerations, and dare to obey Him always.
Deliberately engage faith in possessing everything you need for perfection in Christ Jesus. Build yourself up in faith. Desire to make living by faith a lifestyle.
Prayer 🙏
● we turn to you in full repentance, to seek you with our whole heart, have mercy on us oh Lord.
● Oh Lord build me up in faith.
● Lord I receive the grace to live faith daily.
● Lord Jesus, I arise in faith to possess my possessions.
● Oh Lord I need your presence, show me your glory.
● Oh Lord, we ask for your mercy over the nations of the earth, remember mercy oh Lord.
● Pray for the preservation of the health workers.
● Pray for those affected all over the world.
● We bring China🇨🇳, Italy🇮🇪, United Kingdom🇬🇧, United States,🇱🇷 Iran🇮🇳, UAE🇦🇪, Canada🇨🇦, Nigeria🇳🇬, Ukraine🇺🇦 and all the countries affected before you, let your healing power flow through the nations in Jesus name.
