Topic: The pandemic in our denominations (Jesus teaches on help)
Luke 10:30-35 KJV
And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead. [31] And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. [32] And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side. [33] But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him, [34] And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him. [35] And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee.
How Denominationalism destroys Christianity.
We have a lot to learn from teaching of Jesus Christ. In this story the specific purpose was to identify whom to show love to.
Correspondingly referring to who should I help?
Jesus from this illustration taught something totally different from what many churches in recent days practice.
Jesus teaches that we should help everyone we see in need within our capabilities. He didn't say we should help only our friends and families.
The priest from our text probably might have helped him if he could identify him as a fellow priest, likewise the levite if he saw he was one of the levites. Contrary to the teachings of Jesus, every man is relevant before God and there should be no segregation.
You see churches will ask for a reference letter from your pastor, for them to be sure you're a member, before you can be helped. I have seen cases where fellow Christians were told, sorry we would have helped you but you're not our memeber.
We no longer see Christianity but denominationalism. Jesus prayed a whole chapter against the present day practice of denominationalism John 17.
John 17:21 KJV
That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
It's not wrong to be identified by names, but segregation is highly not christlike.
There has to be changes in the way we view and relate with one another as Christians.
Romans 12:9 KJV
Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.

Resolve to help everyone you can, irrespective of their relationship with you.
Prayer 🙏
● we turn to you in full repentance, to seek you with our whole heart, have mercy on us oh Lord.
● Lord make me an extension of your hand to my neighbors.
● Oh Lord I need your presence, show me your glory.
● Oh Lord, we ask for your mercy over the nations of the earth, remember mercy oh Lord.
● Pray for the preservation of the health workers.
● Pray for those affected all over the world.
● We bring China🇨🇳, Italy🇮🇪, United Kingdom🇬🇧, United States,🇱🇷 Iran🇮🇳, UAE🇦🇪, Canada🇨🇦, Nigeria🇳🇬, Ukraine🇺🇦 and all the countries affected before you, let your healing power flow through the nations in Jesus name.
