Fresh From God
Topic: A New Hope
1 Corinthians 15:19-20 KJV
If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. [20] But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
Isaiah 9:2 KJV
The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.
We've all been in darkness, learning, making money, keeping our families, getting promoted and filling fulfilled.
We had a sense of self sufficiency, yet in deep darkness. We got the applauds of men with their empty praises yet we remain in darkness.
We see ourselves and often feel proud of our achievements, the number of houses we've bought, the number of secured and sustainable assets and investments, the success of our children and all, but when Jesus sees us he's always moved with compassion.
"If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable"
Jesus took the pain and gave us hope eternally.
The Son of God became the Son on man, so that sons of men can become sons of God.
He died so we don't have to die eternally.
He rose so the dead in Christ can rise.
By His life I can boldly say "I am a child of God".
Are you a child of God?
God sent His Son
They called Him Jesus
He came to love, heal and forgive
He lived and died to buy my pardon
An empty grave is there to prove my Savior lives
Because He lives I can face tomorrow
Because He lives all fear is gone
Because I know He holds the future
And life is worth the living just because He lives
And then one day
I'll cross that river
I'll fight life's final war with pain
And then as death gives way to vict'ry
I'll see the lights of glory and I'll know he lives
Because He lives I can face tomorrow
Because He lives all fear is gone
Because I know He holds the future
And life is worth the living just because He lives
