Herald of Maranatha:
Fresh From God
Topic: Go to church
(Truth unraveled)
Psalm 122:1 KJVI was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord.
It amazing how people give so much to activities that excites the flesh than the one that blesses the soul. People now go to church just because it's mandatory for a Christian by religion to attend church services. There's no personal understanding and no purposeful longing for God.
No wonder people quit going to church at the slightest provocation. People get offended by church member and they quit going to church, or when the preacher just spoke against their private sins.
You can imagine the excitement of the faces of people when an important football match gets to extra time and their team equalizes and they have to go for penalties again. They embrace it with joy, being happy about the hope of winning the match. But if the worship service delays for some few minutes, you see people squeezing their face in dissatisfaction.
If the church is not comfortable we see many people will just go home quietly or rather not come at all. No the church is too cold, no heaters, or it's too hot not Air conditioning, so I can't stay. You see the kind of sacrifice people can pay to watch an important football match, how far can you go for God?
Life application
Know the purpose of coming to church. To seek and meet with God.
The church is a place of personal appointment with God not with people.
Don't complain in the church fix your gaze on Jesus only.
Prayer 🙏: Lord Jesus help me to experience the joy of coming to your house always in Jesus name.
