Topic: Can I be forgiven? (Apostolic Revival)
Acts 22:3-6 KJV
I am verily a man which am a Jew, born in Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, yet brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, and taught according to the perfect manner of the law of the fathers, and was zealous toward God, as ye all are this day. [4] And I persecuted this way unto the death, binding and delivering into prisons both men and women. [5] As also the high priest doth bear me witness, and all the estate of the elders: from whom also I received letters unto the brethren, and went to Damascus, to bring them which were there bound unto Jerusalem, for to be punished. [6] And it came to pass, that, as I made my journey, and was come nigh unto Damascus about noon, suddenly there shone from heaven a great light round about me.
Lessons
Paul was like his persecutors, he even went extra mile by getting an official permission to kill, arrest and put the Christian's into prisons.
God does not see the way we see, many people would have wished Paul dead, if he were to be in our days. While men see terrorist, God was seeing a vibrant Apostle, and He made him one.
Paul had been instrumental to the death of many, but he's saved now in Christ. If there were some unrepented Ananias and Sapphira among the people Paul had killed, they will obviously end in hell. No one gets to heaven because of being killed by a terrorist alongside other Christians. Genuine salvation and holiness of life is the key requirement.
Life application
God can forgive any magnitude of sin and use any sinner who genuinely repents, do not condemn yourself.
We need a constant holy Christian life to qualified to get to God.
We might need to change our prayers to a love oriented prayer, for the lost which includes the present day terrorist, for encounters with Jesus, such as Paul's.
Prayers 🙏🏼: Lord Jesus, help us to know your will and pray in accordance to your will in Jesus name.
Remain blessed
