Topic: Joy in the city, joy at home (Apostolic Revival)
Acts 21:7-9 KJV
And when we had finished our course from Tyre, we came to Ptolemais, and saluted the brethren, and abode with them one day. [8] And the next day we that were of Paul's company departed, and came unto Caesarea: and we entered into the house of Philip the evangelist, which was one of the seven; and abode with him. [9] And the same man had four daughters, virgins, which did prophesy.
There's something I silently observed here in the text. During Apostle's journey, he visited Philip, the radical evangelist that disgraced hosts of devils in samaria.
Acts 8:5-8 KJV
Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them. [6] And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. [7] For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them : and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed. [8] And there was great joy in that city.
He was a carrier of the gospel of Jesus Christ, a distributor of joy.
I was amazed to see that he made the joy also mandatory in his home. His daughters were virgins and were filled with the Holy Spirit, prophesying. If it was common, it wouldn't have been so specified. He got his children raised in the fear of God. Many Christians are not paying enough attention to this aspect of their life. Though thechildren have their choices to make but we can train them in making right choices in Christ. That's when we've perfected our ministerial assignments.
The Lord set family before ministry, your first ministry is your home. Let's pay more godly attention to our offspring, so we can have joy in the city and joy at home.
Prayers 🙏🏼: Lord Jesus, help me not to fail over my children, perfect my ministry all round in Jesus name. Every minister's children captured by the devil are loosed in Jesus name.
Remain blessed
