Topic: Christian and business (Apostolic Revival)
Acts 20:33-34 KJV
I have coveted no man's silver, or gold, or apparel. [34] Yea, ye yourselves know, that these hands have ministered unto my necessities, and to them that were with me.
I have coveted no man's silver, or gold, or apparel. [34] Yea, ye yourselves know, that these hands have ministered unto my necessities, and to them that were with me.
The Apostle worked to provide for his entire troop. There has been a lot of confusion as to whether it's right or wrong for a Christian to do business. A lot of christians have been victimised out businesses over the years. If an unbeliever delivers a deal and makes a profit no one complains, but if a Christian does, they'll say, "but you're a Christian".
I remember someone once said business is a sin, so Christians should involve in it. How is that?
God encourages business, but with honesty.
Leviticus 25:14 KJV
And if thou sell ought unto thy neighbour, or buyest ought of thy neighbour's hand, ye shall not oppress one another:
Does honesty in business mean no profit must be made?
No.
There's no stated borderline for your profit in business, but do not give less for more value. Do not take advantage of your neighbor.
The ungodly get richer daily because many Christians believe business is ungodly.
We all take our wealth to the ungodly to patronize them because our brethren do no business.
Isaiah 61:6 KJV
But ye shall be named the Priests of the Lord : men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves.
This scripture can not be fulfilled if Christians don't engage in businesses and rendering of services.
This misunderstanding has led many ministers into begging or manipulation for fund purposes.
May the Lord grant us wisdom to do what is right.
Prayers 🙏🏼: Lord Jesus, help me to be wise, understanding your gifts, promises and all you've freely given me.
Remain blessed
