Acts 20:17-19 KJV
And from Miletus he sent to Ephesus, and called the elders of the church. [18] And when they were come to him, he said unto them, Ye know, from the first day that I came into Asia, after what manner I have been with you at all seasons, [19] Serving the Lord with all humility of mind, and with many tears, and temptations, which befell me by the lying in wait of the Jews:
Apostle Paul revisited the elders of the church in Ephesus from a nearby city and he had a parting admonition with them.
He confirmed his service to the Lord in HUMILITY of mind, through tears and temptations. This is the focus in leadership and christianity in general. Humility is an excelling virtue.
Humility is not respecting your elders, that's simply doing the needful for any morally correct person.
Humility is regarding those who are not up to you on every area.
Humility is not to condone every wrong thing, refraining from speaking the truth because you don't want to hurt anyone. Jesus was totally humble even as He rebuked the Pharisees.
"Philippians 2:5-9 KJV
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: [6] Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: [7] But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: [8] And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. [9] Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:"
Humility is not when your friends call you PAPA or DADDY, pride is you receiving it and glory in it.
Jesus called His disciples friend and lived in like manner.
God doesn't have grandchildren, he has only children.
"Acts 10:25-26 KJV
And as Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him, and fell down at his feet, and worshipped him . [26] But Peter took him up, saying, Stand up; I myself also am a man."
Prayers: Oh Lord my God, establish me in faith in Jesus name.
