Topic: Be ruminant (Apostolic Revival)

Acts 17:10-12 KJV

And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews. [11] These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. [12] Therefore many of them believed; also of honourable women which were Greeks, and of men, not a few.

I once asked a group of students if they studied their courses at home after lectures, but do you go back to study the word of God after the sermon?

Their answers were astonishing, because most of them didn't even have a sermon note.

We were taught how ruminant animals chewed cud and recycled their foods about four times and the scriptures call them clean animals.

"John 15:3 KJV

Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you."

Ruminating on God's word makes us clean.

Dogs, pigs etc doesn't ruminate they are unclean animals.

You can listen to the word of God daily and yet be unclean, if you don't ruminate and apply it to your life.

The people in Berea were noble, not because of any  kind of invention or special philosophy of theirs, but because they were ruminant on the word of God.

Be ruminant and be contemplative on the word of God.

"Joshua 1:8 KJV

This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success."
