Topic: The joy of salvation (Apostolic Revival)
"Acts 15:3-4 KJV
And being brought on their way by the church, they passed through Phenice and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles: and they caused great joy unto all the brethren. [4] And when they were come to Jerusalem, they were received of the church, and of the apostles and elders, and they declared all things that God had done with them."
The joy of salvation is like the joy of child birth, everyone rejoices, the very child, the families and the neighbors. In like manner anyone saved rejoices, the other Christians and the host of heaven.
"Luke 15:7 KJV
I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance."
From our text we can see a clearly expressed joy in the heart of the people over the salvation of the gentiles.
Do we also rejoice at the salvation of sinners, especially when other people where instrumental to it?
"Luke 15:27-28 KJV
And he said unto him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound. [28] And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and intreated him."
Are we also like this elder brother?
Let's be joyful at the salvation of sinners.
Prayers: Lord give me a right attitude to salvation of souls at all times.
Remain blessed
