Topic: Sins to abstain from III (Apostolic Revival) 

Acts 15:19-20 KJV

Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God: [20] But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.

The third sin outlined here; things strangled and blood. I put these two together because they are related. When an animal is strangled you can't get rid of the blood in it, so you'll eat blood.

What about blood?

"Leviticus 17:14 KJV

For it is the life of all flesh; the blood of it is for the life thereof: therefore I said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall eat the blood of no manner of flesh: for the life of all flesh is the blood thereof: whosoever eateth it shall be cut off."

Eating of blood is what I relate with witchcraft, as it's known in our days.

"Leviticus 19:26 KJV

Ye shall not eat any thing with the blood: neither shall ye use enchantment, nor observe times."

Other commandments listed with the eating of blood here relates it more with witchcraft.

From definition, Witchcraft is a religious practice involving ritual, spells, and nature worship.

Witchcraft is a perversion of God's laws. It's a deep sin against God.

"1 Samuel 15:23 KJV

For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the Lord , he hath also rejected thee from being king."

Simple rebellion against God's authority and instructions is witchcraft.

We can see that all these sins are under the greatest commandments as our Lord Jesus said it.

"Mark 12:29-31 KJV

And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is , Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: [30] And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. [31] And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these."

If we do these we are free indeed. Loving God and loving man.
