Ministry terminator (Apostolic Revival)

Herald of maranatha:
Daily Fresh From God

Topic: Ministry terminator  (Apostolic Revival)
Acts 15:37-41 KJV
And Barnabas determined to take with them John, whose surname was Mark. [38] But Paul thought not good to take him with them, who departed from them from Pamphylia, and went not with them to the work. [39] And the contention was so sharp between them, that they departed asunder one from the other: and so Barnabas took Mark, and sailed unto Cyprus; [40] And Paul chose Silas, and departed, being recommended by the brethren unto the grace of God. [41] And he went through Syria and Cilicia, confirming the churches.

Paul and Barnabas were earlier separated by the Holy Spirit for a special assignment, but something came up between them.
"Acts 13:2 KJV
As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them."

Contention is a ministry terminator, that was what ended a significant ministry from our text today. Barnabas was a good teacher and a prophet, he had a great ministry, but the Holy Spirit appointed him to work with Paul, his ministry was eventually silenced by, contention, disagreement, dispute, argument, sentiment and lack of submission.
The simple disagreement between them should have been settled easily, but Satan, through the spirit of pride, afflicted and separated them. Barnabas was sentimental probably based on his personal relationship with John Mark and that was what ended his scenes in the book of Acts of the Apostles.
"Colossians 4:10 KJV
Aristarchus my fellowprisoner saluteth you, and Marcus, sister's son to Barnabas, (touching whom ye received commandments: if he come unto you, receive him;)"
Let's learn to be humble, submitting one to another and not always desiring to win an argument.
"Ephesians 5:21 KJV
Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God."
Submit yourself to your God-ordained leaders and partners in ministry, so as to retain your relevance in the assignment.

Prayers: Lord Jesus, cleanse from every pride that wants to terminate my ministry.

Remain blessed
