Topic: The Church by the river side (Sunday Special)

Acts 16:13-15 KJV

And on the sabbath we went out of the city by a river side, where prayer was wont to be made; and we sat down, and spake unto the women which resorted thither. [14] And a certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, which worshipped God, heard us : whose heart the Lord opened, that she attended unto the things which were spoken of Paul. [15] And when she was baptized, and her household, she besought us , saying, If ye have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house, and abide there . And she constrained us.

From today's scriptural reference, we can see how the Apostles went to the river side on a Sabbath and they were able to hold a fruitful service there.

There was a plan for prayers to be made at that river side, they worshipped God,  the gospel was preached and the convert was baptized. 

What more should a fruitful church service entail?

This is for those who doesn't have purpose-built church or assembly of Christians where they are, you can always make one happen and God will honour it.

For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them."

Mind you, do not stay back or desire a "church in the park" today if you have access to a godly fellowship where you are.

"Hebrews 10:25 KJV

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is ; but exhorting one another : and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching."

You can always evangelize, but fellowship with the brethren always.

The Apostles joined the brethren at the synagogue everywhere they went and found a synagogue.

"Acts 13:14 KJV

But when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and sat down."

As we go into the presence of God today May we encounter Him like never before in Jesus name.

Prayers: Oh Lord Jesus, reveal yourself to me today like never before in Jesus name.
