Herald of maranatha:
Daily Fresh From God
Topic: Liberty (Sunday Special)
2 Corinthians 3:17 KJV
Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is , there is liberty."
Liberty is a state of freedom from oppressive restrictions imposed by authorities on one's lifestyle.
Are we then free from the law?
No, we're free from the curses of the law, and the law of the Spirit replaces the law of sin and death, we're not lawless.
"Hebrews 10:16 KJV
This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;"
"Romans 8:1-2 KJV
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. [2] For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death."
We're free from fleshly struggle to overcome sin into, spiritual victory, only by walking in the Spirit.
"Galatians 5:16 KJV
This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh."
The Spirit of God liberates us from conformity to the pattern of this world. He sets us free from satanically imposed authorities, referred to as "the prince of the air".
"Ephesians 2:2 KJV
Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:"
Where the Spirit of God is, there's liberty.
As you go to the church today, may you experience the liberty given by the presence of the Holy Spirit.
Prayers: Father Lord, I receive the grace to live in full liberty of the Spirit, by total submission to your will in Jesus name.
"Christianity is not lawlessness or freedom for sin, but freedom from sin, the law of the Spirit replaces the law of sin and death"(Omoloye A A)
