Acts 10:39-40 KJV
And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree: [40] Him God raised up the third day, and shewed him openly;
The word witness or witnessing is often used in the Christian community, but many of do not understand it's actual meaning.
Witness means
"a person who sees an event, "
So we can have a true witness and a false witness.
Jesus says "John 15:27 KJV
[27] And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning."
Using the word "witness" wasn't a coincidence. Jesus wants us to actually experience Him first before we tell others.
"if you're not the first of what you preach, you are a false witness of it"
"Acts 1:8 KJV
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."
Are you a true witness?
If you've been genuinely saved, preaching salvation to anyone will be easy for you, sharing the testimony of your salvation is enough to break someone down.
Prayers: Oh Lord Jesus Christ, make me a true witness to your saving grace from day to day.
Remain blessed
