Herald of maranatha:
Daily Fresh from God
Topic: Response to other's exploit (Apostolic Revival)
Acts 11:22 KJV
Then tidings of these things came unto the ears of the church which was in Jerusalem: and they sent forth Barnabas, that he should go as far as Antioch.
What do you do when you see others doing exploits?
This is an important question to know if you're living in strife or envy. We are to rejoice when kingdom exploits are seen, irrespective of who does it.
What we read in our text was a good example of what true disciples should do, Barnabas was sent to help them. When he got there he was glad and encouraged them.
"Acts 11:23 KJV
Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord."
That was a right heart.
Don't desire to always be the center of attraction and don't always wish you were the one doing every good thing done by others.
"Galatians 5:26 KJV
Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another."
Learn to celebrate others so you can also be celebrated.
Prayers: Oh Lord Jesus Christ, may I not be desirous of vain glory, may I always rejoice in the progress of God's work.
"Learn to celebrate others, so others can also celebrate you" (Omoloye A A)
