Acts 10:25-26
25 As Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him and fell down at his feet and worshiped him. 26 But Peter lifted him up, saying, “Stand up; I myself am also a man.”

Pride is a big tool for self-destruction, so God gave us and antidote for it, HUMILITY!
The very unfortunate thing is that most people who are proud, do not believe they are really proud, in fact pride will not make them accept they are proud.
Humility is not keeping quiet and bowing your head at every interval.
Humility is not when you regard or respect people that are indeed greater than you, in age, authority or position, in that case it's an obligation. Humility is when you regard and respect someone you know you are actually better than. Unfortunately those who don't really worth much are often prone to pride.
"James 4:6 (NKJV)
6 But He gives more grace. Therefore He says:
“God resists the proud,
But gives grace to the humble."
From the text we can see a pure display of humility from both the centurion and the Apostle. We were not told how old Cornelius was, but we know he was a General, but he publicly fell down at Apostle Peter's feet with deep regard. On the other hand, the Apostle didn't take advantage of the fact that it was God that specifically sent him there to place himself like a little god before the people. Apostle Peter refused to be worshipped.
Search your heart, are you really humble?
If you are almost humble, it means you are yet proud!



Prayers: Oh Lord Jesus Christ, give me a genuine humility, a humble spirit before God and men.
