Topic: Do GOOD WORKS (Apostolic Revival)
Act 9:36-39
36 At Joppa there was a certain disciple named [i]Tabitha, which is translated [j]Dorcas. This woman was full of good works and charitable deeds which she did. 37 But it happened in those days that she became sick and died. When they had washed her, they laid her in an upper room. 38 And since Lydda was near Joppa, and the disciples had heard that Peter was there, they sent two men to him, imploring him not to delay in coming to them. 39 Then Peter arose and went with them. When he had come, they brought him to the upper room. And all the widows stood by him weeping, showing the tunics and garments which Dorcas had made while she was with them.
Everyone is described by his deeds, what you do while you are alive is what people will say about you when you are gone. some people's Christianity is the type that doesn't want to be disturbed by so much good works, they mind their businesses, interact less with the brethren and care-less about "who is in need"
But what is the Christianity Jesus taught from the scripture?
"James 1:27

"James 1:27
Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world."
You can do good works and be unspotted, don't keep yourself away from doing good for the fear of trouble.
A lot of people, including Christians, might have died and buried at the time of Dorcas' death, but her case was different, everyone sincerely wanted her back.
If you are missing in your neighborhood will people really feel it?
Dorcas took care of the widows, and they couldn't imagine their lives without her.
The Lord watches over the strangers; He relieves the fatherless and widow;"
God heard the cry of the widows and He brought Apostle Peter.
Prayers: Oh Lord Jesus Christ, help me to be zealous for good works, and not get tired of meeting the needs of others, physically and spiritually.
Remain blessed
