HOM DAILY DEVOTIONAL

Preaching the kingdom (Apostolic Revival)

Herald Herald of maranatha:Daily Devotional
Topic:  Preaching the kingdom (Apostolic Revival)

Acts 8:9-12 KJV
But there was a certain man, called Simon, which beforetime in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one: [10] To whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is the great power of God. [11] And to him they had regard, because that of long time he had bewitched them with sorceries. [12] But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.
The gospel of Christ is powerful, it's only by the gospel a genuine salvation can be produced.
"Romans 1:16 KJV
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek."
We can see the exploit done in Samaria, through the preaching of the gospel. A one time bewitched city became saved, even the sorcerer believed. That's very glorious move of God. The sorcerer surrendered when he saw a greater manifestation, beyond what sorcery can do. He has held them in captivity for long, but as the Spirit of God struck him and surrendered no doubt his captives were free.
Philip went by the Holy Ghost power manifestation approach, and he disarmed the strongman and divided the spoil.

"Luke 11:21-22 KJV
When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace: [22] But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils."

We also have access to the power of the Holy Ghost, if we're willing.
Desire Him today and something will change in your life and ministry.

"Luke 11:13 KJV
If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?"

Prayers: Oh Lord Jesus, fill me with the Holy Ghost, equip and fortify me for the forth coming revival.

Remain blessed
