Topic: A non-negotiable experience (Apostolic Revival)
Acts 8:15-17 KJV
Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost: [16] (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.) [17] Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.
From today's text we can see something very vital, receiving the Holy Spirit is not optional for any Christians, it is rather mandatory.
Unlike what we have these days, a lot of people who are Christians, saved, yet have not being baptized by the Holy Ghost and it gives them no concern at all.
We can also see that salvation and baptism of the Holy Spirit are two distinctly different experiences.
This experience of Holy Ghost baptism was a thing of serious concern in the bible, no one jokes about it, and it was seen as a necessity for every Christian. Obviously it's a necessity because we can't survive without the Holy Spirit.
"Acts 19:2,6 KJV
He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost. [6] And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied."
Let's desire the baptism of the Holy Ghost with our whole heart it's a vital christian experience.
If we've been baptized, let's be constantly filled with more of His presence.
Prayers: Oh Lord Jesus, baptize me over and over again with your Holy Spirit, equip and fortify me for the forth coming revival.
Remain blessed.
