Topic: Anti-Revival agents (Apostolic Revival)
Acts 5:33 KJV
When they heard that , they were cut to the heart , and took counsel to slay them.
Everywhere the word of God is being preached, the Devil will always want to bring a negative influence and interpretation, to raise strife and contention.
The message that brought salvation unto many, brought indignation unto these people.
Their past wrong blinded their eyes from seeing the future. They were already guilty of the death of Jesus, but the were afraid to see His witnesses rising. Maybe they thought the Apostles were to witness against them in the law courts, but whatever they thought Satan made it so.
" Acts 5:28 KJV
Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man's blood upon us."
They didn't see salvation in the blood of Jesus all the devil made them see was condemnation. So they built a defense against the gospel and their heart and also, tried to stop it.
These things still happen in our midst. How do you see the word when it's preached, as a word of life or condemnation?
Do you see it as if it's an attack against you?
The Devil is still working hard to make people misunderstand the word of God and thereby fight it. These acts are anti-revival in nature, it aims at stopping the revival. May we not work contrary to God's move in Jesus' name.
Prayers: Oh Lord Jesus, give me a good understanding, may I not work against your will, equip and fortify me for the forth coming revival.
Remain blessed
