Topic: True witness (Apostolic Revival)
Acts 5:32 KJV
And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.
The revival message is still simple. The Apostles had to just bear witness to all they saw and knew in Christ.
"Acts 1:1 KJV
The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,"
Jesus taught them by His actions and then verbally. So this made them a true witness.
Witnesses are people who saw or experienced an event. We are also meant to be witnesses unto Christ, but, of what we bear witness?
We were saved by Christ from these corrupt world into the glorious liberty of sons and daughters.
Our lives saw and experienced a change no man can give. These are what we can bear witnesses of, "the power of God".
It's important we experience this before we jump out to tell people about Jesus.
You cannot teach what we don't know, that's what many preachers do, hence their messages is of no impact, because they are false witnesses.
"1 John 1:1 KJV
That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;"
This is the witness of Apostle John.
Let's consider that we have encountered Christ and that we have an experiential knowledge of His power, before we go and tell others about Christ.
Prayers: Oh Lord Jesus, give me an experiential knowledge of your power that I might be a true witness, equip and fortify me for the forth coming revival.
Remain blessed
