Herald of maranatha:Daily devotional
Topic: Consistency (Apostolic revival)
Acts 2:42 KJV
And they
continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking
of bread, and in prayers.
The key to sustaining revival is consistency.
The Apostolic revival was sustained by a consistent continuance in the
Apostles' doctrine.
Contrary to this, a lot of modernist
preachers have said, salvation is an eternal security. Meaning once you're
saved you have nothing to do, but the our text here shows that, consistency was
very vital.
The revival brought them an encounter the
never wanted to recover from. They did not want to loose that experience, so,
in the spirit's strength they continued daily with complain or a sense of
tiredness.
I heard about the Azusa street revival, how
people had fellowship thrice daily and constantly for about three and a half
years. Revival brings a FIRE that has to be preserved by consistency in seeking
God and doing His will. "Hebrews 3:14 KJV For we are made partakers of
Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast unto the end; "
we cannot partake of God if we do not steadfastly and consistently continue in
His will. Lack of consistency and steadfastness is the killer of many revivals.
Today join the fellowship of God's children in unity, there's a guarantee of God's presence there.
The Lord has started the revival, He has rekindled the fire, don't be left out prepare to be a part of this REVIVAL
Prayers: Oh
Lord, I receive the grace to be steadfast and consistent, for this mighty
revival.
Remain blessed
